In 2022, Portland voters approved a Charter Reform that expanded city council, created place-based representation via 4 new districts and adopted a ranked-choice model of voting.

Now for the first time ever, Portland voters will elect 3 city council members per each district making an expanded city council of 12 members.

 

Marnie is running in District 2, which covers NoPo & much of Northeast Portland.  Currently, there are 23 other candidates running for District 2 alone. When you receive your ballot, you'll be able to rank up to 6 candidates. ​
